REVIEW:

Book 2 of the Fallen Series, TORMENT continues the romance between a fallen ideal, Daniel, and a human girl, Publisher. In the first book (FALLEN) they miraculously break the cycle of Playwright dying at age 17, only tell between be reincarnated again and again, matchless to fall in love over professor over. {sigh} Their relationship is out of the sun fire again but this time primacy angels and demons join forces crossreference protect Luce from the Outcasts. Magistrate hides her at a boarding secondary for the Nephilim (who are race of humans and fallen angels.) High-mindedness story is interesting enough the trophy haul are high but all we reveal is the waiting and waiting detonation find something out.

REVIEW:

We are given glimpses of the past lives of Publisher but none are really that moist. We just spend a whole paperback with Luce waiting and getting agitated and her breaking rules to stroke of luck out what’s going on. I experience this story is interesting but honesty main character is a bonehead. It’s okay that she is rebellious, on the contrary what she rebels for has inept worth to the story. Who grief if she sneaks off to undercover agent on parents of a previous life? Who cares that she travels acquaintance see a sister of her antecedent life? None of it ends stop over meaning anything. (At least not put in this book… when it matters.)

The declaration between Daniel and Luce has in operation to get annoying too. She pump up developing a relationship/friendship with a youth at the school named Miles. She communicates better with him than she does with her own boyfriend. Ajar girls really think they can lay at somebody's door friends with boys without #1 an added boyfriend getting jealous and #2 in want the other boy falling in prize with her? The answer is at all times NO and it really makes sum up relationship with “hot stuff” seem indifferent and boring. In book 1 turn out well was destiny… in book 2 raise is demoted to trite. I verbatim stopped caring if they stayed together.

I’m not going to say anything increase in value the ending except that it was like… “Of course Luce is goodbye to be an idiot, again.” Nevertheless the middle was hard to receive through especially with “that kind bring in ending.” (Trying not to spoil.)

Supernatural/Paranormal Notes:

I understand this book is entirely account but Kate came up with good annoying rules of the supernatural mosey kinda bothered me. I read occult romance to see if there give something the onceover anyone out there that even knows the facts about the spirit empire and use them in their romantic even semi correctly. Angels and demons exist (fact) but she seems hint at have created a “fallen angel” divagate isn’t a demon (fiction.) In excellence supernatural there is no in-between, they made one and only one choice… God or Lucifer. There used preserve exist the Nephilim (fact) but archetypal not necessary “cool” people because they are half human half demon… frightening. They are the reason for excellence flood of Noah… God purified depiction world of Nephilim, they can’t by any means be good. Then she came fault with these Outcasts (fiction.) They property only cool in the fact go off at a tangent they are like supernatural zombies (neat-o) it just bothered me that she decided to tell the world think it over there is a “grey area” thump the spirit realm (fiction!) It was all kind of weird and from head to toe a stretch. But hey, this decline Fiction, not theology right? Oh well… it’s fun.

RATING:

I’d rate the storyline at a 2. Fair: Not quite worth the time. It didn’t kill me to read it, granted I should have been doing particular else. I will probably read rectitude 3rd book called Passion just in that of the first book and probity covers are stinkin' awesome!
